Caris + Marty – Caversham House wedding ceremony

Caris + Marty’s Caversham House wedding ceremony

Caris + Marty’s Caversham House wedding ceremony was a pleasure to capture, at times it was difficult to focus on capturing images and not get swept away with all the emotions of the unfolding love story between this gorgeous couple.

We started the day with a sleep in actually as we weren’t meeting the boys till 10am (which is a pretty late start for us on a wedding day) what a treat!  Marty and his groomsmen were getting ready at his parent’s home. Chris enjoyed looking at Marty’s dad’s collection of different stuff, especially the James Bond paraphernalia (he’s a big James Bond buff) whilst waiting for the boys. Marty and his boys were in good spirits, the boys making sure Marty looked perfect for his big day. A few drinks at Marty’s parent’s bar, a casual stroll down the street, a jump very worth of a Toyota TV commercial and some creative lighting in the carport and we were done, the boys got changed out of their suits and set about relaxing until it was time to get ready for real.

And then we arrived at Caris’ mum’s home to a buzz of nervous excitement. The girls were getting their finishing touches on hair and makeup and the champagne bottle and glasses were primed and ready to go. There were squeals of delight when the flowers arrived and the girls saw how beautiful they looked.

After a couple of shots of girls being girls in their pyjamas and matching robes it was time to get our bride ready to walk down the isle. With gown on (and laced to perfection) and finishing touches of jewellery and perfume added Caris looked amazing, we just knew she would take Marty’s breath away the minute he saw her.

Caris’ father arrived to escort her to the ceremony and walk her down the isle, he was almost speechless when he saw his little girl (one of our favourite moments of a wedding day); signalling it was time to head to Caversham House.

There was excitement in the air as their friends and family gathered awaiting the arrival of the beautiful bride.  Caris was unaware but some of her young school students had arrived to watch their teacher become a ‘Mrs’, they even made a ‘congratulations’ sign to hold up when the happy couple were married – she was overjoyed to see them. Marty shed a tear (as we knew he would) as his bride approached and after a few more tears, some giggles and laughter they became Mr & Mrs.

After they shared some congratulatory hugs and kisses from their family and friends we wandered around the grounds of Caversham House creating some beautiful images of our happy couple with their bridal party. There is no need to leave the grounds of this gorgeous venue for photography, it is an endless supply of inspiration for photographers. After some fun and giggle (and a glass or two of champagne) it was time give this lovely group of people a little break so they could freshen up for the reception dinner.

The reception was in the marquee at Caversham House, a gorgeous room that lends itself to suit almost any decor a bride could desire.  The bridal party made their entrance into the reception in fine style, busting their own special moves onto the dance floor which was surrounded by loving friends and family who were ready to party and celebrate the union of our bride and groom.

After the speeches, the traditional cutting of the cake, a bridal waltz we left this awesome group of people to celebrate the night away. All in all, it was a magical day from start to finish. Congratulations again Mr and Mrs Szczepanik.

We’ve chosen a few of our favourite images from their wedding day and enhanced them, we do this for every image that goes into an album or is requested as a print. They appear below. They are sequenced to give you a little snippet into their joy filled day. We finish images in black & white as well as colour. Personally we love black & white images, they are so timeless.

Choosing favourite images from a wedding is really hard, there are usually several, but, if we had to pick one from this wedding, it would be the one in the driveway of Caversham House with the sunlight streaming through the trees behind them.

We hope you love our favourites as much as we do.
