Charlotte + Chris St Michael’s wedding

Charlotte + Chris St Michael’s wedding

Charlotte + Chris St Michael’s wedding day was just gorgeous. Our day started early at Chris’ parents home – they were taking their day in their stride and everyone was still in their pi’s. Chris was keen to get some shots with his best men playing basketball as that is what they grew up doing, just down the road at the local oval – was fun watching the boys in action.  There were no wedding day nerves at this home.

We headed to Charlotte’s parents home a little later where things were buzzing – 4 bridesmaids, 1 bride and 1 mother of the bride all getting hair and makeup finished. There was much excitement to see Charlotte once she had her dress on, no one had seen her dress except for Charlotte and her mum. She looked very elegant in her gown with a gorgeous up do and pretty bling – everyone’s breath was taken away and tears of excited happiness were shed when the girls saw their friend as a bride. Of course that was nothing compared with seeing Charlotte’s dad see her dressed as a bride – he was such a proud man on that day.

We headed to St Michael The Archangel chapel in Leederville for their wedding ceremony – it is a beautiful church with a feeling of airiness from the narrow building with very high ceilings. The service was simple and very sweet made a little more elegant with music by some lovely ladies from Dolce Ensembles playing.

After the ceremony the happy couple were congratulated by their guests on the grounds of St Michael chapel – there were lots of happy smiles and heartfelt hugs to go around.

We spent a short time on the grounds of the chapel for some of their bridal party photography – we could easily spend a whole shoot there but sadly on wedding days we have to work quickly to be away in time for the next beautiful wedding. So we headed to South Perth foreshore as our couple were keen to have a shot of our gorgeous city of Perth in the background, we were very happy to oblige, our city is such a picturesque one.

We then spent some time at John Oldham Park in Perth for some more photography. This is a lovely garden / park encircled by frenetically busy highways close to our city – many people drive past it everyday, yet don’t know of its existence. It is a delightful oasis of tranquility with lush vegetation, meandering walkways, a picturesque waterfall and great playground for the kids – or, as it turns out for the bridal party – Charlotte, Chris and their bridal party enjoyed playing on the big slide and the roundabout – checkout the pictures!

We then headed to Matilda Bay where the bridal party enjoyed some refreshments whilst we photographed the reception venue decor and prepared for their big entrance as Mr & Mrs. The evening was beautiful – good food, great company, a gorgeous happy couple and some fun on the dance floor – the perfect way to end the perfect day.

All in all, it was a magical day from start to finish. Congratulations again Mr and Mrs Nowrojee.

We’ve chosen a few of our favourite images from their wedding day and enhanced them, we do this for every image that goes into an album or is requested as a print. They appear below. They are sequenced to give you a little snippet into their joy filled day. We finish images in black & white as well as colour. Personally we love black & white images, they are so timeless.

Choosing favourite images from a wedding is really hard, there are usually several, but, if we had to pick one from this wedding, it would be the one of them dancing on the jetty outside Matilda Bay Restaurant.

We hope you love our favourites as much as we do.
