Jenna + Lex’s Mandurah wedding
We took a short drive southward for Jenna + Lex ‘s Mandurah wedding day, years ago it was a favourite holiday destination that took a while to get to, these days with the freeway it’s pretty much part of the Perth CBD
Jenna + Lex met in Mandurah, at a friends holiday townhouse, after several hours of conversation these two formed a connection that was not something to be ignored. Even though Jenna lived in Melbourne at the time, they formed a strong bond, and knew their lives were meant to be shared together.
And; because they met in Mandurah, it was only fitting that their wedding day be held there – Lex and his groomsmen made their wedding day preparations at the Seashells Resort in Mandurah, really beautiful accommodation that is very spacious and right on the beach. They chose relaxed outfits with a hint of retro / vintage, wearing bow ties and braces with Lex in a very unique striped shirt, they all looked fantastic.
Meanwhile, Jenna made her preparations at a local hairdressing salon and then at the very holiday townhouse where these two lovebirds met, such a cute idea. Jenna chose a stunning, ankle length wedding gown with beautiful lace detailing, and a stunning red rose bouquet in keeping with their retro/vintage theme, she looked radiant. Her parents looked positively bursting with pride.
The ceremony was held on the lawn at the marina of the Mandurah Offshore Fishing and Sailing Club, After a short and simple ceremony (and a few tears here and there) the happy couple were declared married and shared the magical first kiss as husband and wife.
After mingling with their friends and family for a short time they headed back to the holiday townhouse to celebrate with some champagne and get some photos in the house where their relationship started.
A special request was to capture an image of our couple with Lex’s other woman, his much loved car.
We headed to the beach for a few images before heading back to Mandurah Offshore Fishing and Sailing so the couple could spend the evening celebrating this very happy occasion with their friends and family. After they shared a meal, some lovely speeches (which included a poem written by the groom’s dad), the cutting of a scrumptious looking cake and a very beautiful first dance as husband and wife, we left this gorgeous couple to continue celebrating the night away.
All in all, it was a magical day from start to finish. Congratulations again Mr and Mrs Gelmi.
We’ve chosen a few of our favourite images from their wedding day and enhanced them, we do this for every image that goes into an album or is requested as a print. They appear below. They are sequenced to give you a little snippet into their joy filled day. We finish images in black & white as well as colour. Personally we love black & white images, they are so timeless.
Choosing favourite images from a wedding is really hard, there are usually several, but, if we had to pick one from this wedding, it would be the ’50 Shades of Grey’ shot.
We hope you love our favourites as much as we do.
