Wedding photography blog of Jess & Robbie

We were very excited to be photographing the wedding of Jess and Robbie, Jess being the daughter in law of a friend made the day just that little bit more personal to us. We started our day with Robbie at his parents place, with his groomsmen, grooms-boy Brad and son Bryce who were hanging out for their yummy pre wedding BBQ breakfast – delish. We left Robbie to enjoy breakfast and headed over to see how Jess’s preparations were coming along. In and odd turn of events, we actually beat Jess home from the hairdresser – you can’t rush perfection – and amused ourselves re-arranging some furniture and getting the lighting just right in order to do Jess justice. Jess and the bridesmaids arrived home not to long after we did and we spent a fun hour getting into the dress, putting on the jewelry and doing all those last minute things that contribute to making a bride look stunning on her wedding day. Once Jess was dressed her father arrived and he got to see his baby girl as a bride for the first time. A beautiful moment between father and daughter.

Next we were off to the ceremony, which was held in the beautifully manicured hidden gardens at Caversham House. Were Robbie was anxiously awaiting the arrival of his bride. When Jess arrived everyone was breath taken none more so then Robbie who you could see visibly relax i Jess’s presence. Little Bryce stole a moment of the show to welcome his mum to the ceremony whom he hadn’t seen all day. You couldn’t have choreographed it better as he waited for her at the bottom of the steps and walked with her down the aisle – too cute.

As Jess met Robbie at the altar all attention returned to them as they spoke their vows and were joined as man and wife. A lovely ceremony. We stayed at Caversham house for the bridal party photography and everyone had a lot fun racing around Caversham gardens capturing the romance of the day, focusing on the french provisional theme Jess and Robbie had chosen. Caversham House is a lovely venue, with lots of great spots for photography all of which matched Jess and Robbies theme beautifully.

All to soon we were out of time and we were off to the reception held in the marquee on the lawn at Caversham, the marquee was decked out top to bottom with beautiful decorations, including little Eiffel towers wine bottle holders, filled with personalised bottles of wine and crystal chandeliers, instead of table numbers Jess and Robbie had given each table the name of a city in France and used champagne bottle corks as name card holders. A great way of keeping in theme and everything looked lovely – great job Jess and Robbie. Everyone had a great time, drinking, dancing, celebrating and even playing a few fun games. Thank you for involving us in your special day, it was an honor to be there.
