Wedding photography blog of Kelly and Glenn

We always say that having problems and little hiccups in the planning of a wedding is good – it means the actual wedding day will be perfect. So when Kelly & Glenn were faced with having to move house only a couple of weeks before their wedding day – we knew it was a good thing – and we were right – their day was perfect from start to finish.

We usually have to contend with the bride or the groom not running quite on time – but not with these guys – they were all ready on time, no last minute rushing around to find anything, everything was perfect.

Glenn got ready with his groomsmen (and the dog) at home – the guys were great  – Glenn got cuff links for each of his groomsmen, but he chose something specific for each guy, didn’t give them all the same ones, so he’d put some thought into what each of them would like – we just loved the 007 ones he got for himself.

Kelly got ready at he parents home with her sisters and bridesmaids – no chaos at this house, everything was in it’s place – we felt as though we’d entered the ‘twilight zone’. Having everything run on time means we can be a bit more creative with lighting and we were able to get a few fun shots with the girls and Kelly’s dad’s super sedan speedway car.

Their ceremony and reception were at Mulberry on Swan in the Swan Valley – it’s a pretty spot on the Swan River, the ceremonies are held under the canopy of a big old tree on the banks of the river. Kelly & Glenn wrote their own vows, Glenn also made a ‘gift’ to Kelly of his name, was really sweet the way it was done.

There’s no need to travel for photography when at a venue like Mulberry on Swan, there are plenty of spots for great images – so after a walk around the grounds of the venue and some great photos we headed in to the reception to the warm welcome of their family and friends. After a great dinner, lovely speeches, the traditional cutting of the cake and bridal waltz, fun games and crazy dancing – we left them to continue celebrating the fact they are now “Mr & Mrs”.

We had a great time with Kelly & Glenn – can’t wait to see what they think of the photos.
