Wedding photography blog of Mel and Chris

We woke up early on the morning of Mel and Chris’s wedding, packing the car in the pre dawn light beginning our journey down South to photograph their Yallingup wedding. Both Mel and Chris were getting ready in separate holiday homes in Dunsborough where they had enjoyed an intimate dinner with their family the evening before. Our first stop was with Chris his groomsmen and family, Chris was cheerful and nervous as he donned a dashing suit in preparation for the biggest and most joyful moment of his life. Luckily for Chris he had the support of his three faithful groomsmen who helped him keep the tension away by sharing a few beverages and light hearted conversation.

Meanwhile not far away Mel was undertaking her own and might add far more extensive preparations, with the assistance of her family and bridesmaids. Mel was stunning in her vintage inspired gown and bright red lipstick – perfectly matching the cute dresses of her bridal party. Clearly some careful planning had gone into making these girls look their best!! We had to stay inside for the pre wedding photos with Mel, as the skies were holding true to their earlier promise of rain.

Luckily for us, someone was smiling on Mel and Chris and by the time the final preparations had taken place the skies had cleared and the sun was shinning on a radiant Mel as she walked down the aisle – accompanied by her two beautiful sisters to were Chris waited to greet her. The ceremony was heartfelt and beautiful, despite the earlier rain and persistent wind it was the perfect wedding for Mel and Chris who being so excited about being joined in marriage wouldn’t have noticed a nearby tornado!

After the ceremony we headed to Meelup Beech to make use of the beautiful vistas and nearby forests for the art photography. We all had so much fun during the photos that our time was up before we even noticed. Not before Mel, donned her Purple Wellington boots for a few fun photos jumping through puddles in her dress!

The Reception was held at the Eagle Bay Brewing Co. A very cool location with fantastic service and even better food! Everyone was thrilled to pieces to be introduced to “Mr and Mrs Henry” and even more taken back by the stunning dance preformed by the couple during the evening. A beautifully choreographed piece with deliberate and slow movements – the best part was when Mel ran across the floor and leapt into Chris’s waiting arms – breathtaking!.

Towards the end of the night we put on a slideshow of the photos from the morning, sharing with Mel and Chris’s friends the pre wedding preparations and nerves, reliving the heartfelt ceremony and giving them a sneak peak of the art images shot after.

Mel and Chris’s wedding was a lovely affair which we are honored to have been a part of – Congratulations Mr and Mrs Henry!
