Wedding photography blog of Michaela & Tristan

Spring is a great time for weddings, we just love getting out doors and being involved in the romance of every wedding we go to, capturing each moment in photography. Michaela and Tristan’s wedding at Belvoir was no exception, all in all a beautiful day and a lot of fun. We started out with Tristan at his and Michaela’s home in Avely, where Tristan and his groomsmen were busy getting into their suits, working out how to get their tie’s on and having a few pre wedding beers to relieve the nerves and tension. Once the boys were dressed and the ties were finally tied we headed into Guildford for some photography. Guildford has a lot of interesting features which can be used in photography including some old buildings and beautiful scenery. We and the boys had a lot of fun, making pit stops by Taylor’s Cottage which was built in 1867 and the old Gaol.

Meanwhile at, Brookleigh Estate, Michaela and the Bridesmaids were hard at work with their own wedding preparations. We arrived just as the finishing touches were put on the hair and makeup and we got straight to work photographing the flurry of activity that was Michaela and her bridesmaids, all of whom were industriously employed getting ready for the wedding and assisting Michaela get into her stunning gown.  Once all the girls were dressed and ready we went for a walk around the estate, stopping past the beautiful stables and even visiting a curious horse.

Before we knew it we headed off to Belvoir for the ceremony, where Michaela and Tristan’s family and friends were waiting. The groomsmen were first to walk down the aisle followed by Tristan and his parents, once Tristan was in place all eyes turned to the Bridesmaids who preceded Michaela walk down the aisle accompanied by her mother and father. As Michaela approached Tristan both Bride and Groom were overcome with smiles – Michaela making her way around Tristan seven times in traditional Jewish fashion. Before too long Michaela and Tristan were Mr and Mrs Bottrell, and both of them couldn’t be happier.

We didn’t have too long between the Ceremony and the Reception for the traditional art photos we normally would like to do with the Bride and Groom on their wedding day, so we stayed at Belvoir and quickly made use of the lovely gardens which were on offer. Luckily we spent extra time with each of them in the morning, so Michaela and Tristan won’t be short on beautiful wedding photos from their special day. Even though time was short, Michaela and Tristan made the most of this time with us and their bridal party, reveling in being newly weds and not at all afraid to show off their happiness and love for us and the camera.

At the reception Michaela and Tristan were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd and; once again following the Jewish tradition, entered into a dancing crowd, spinning wildly around the dance floor in linked arms before being hoisted on chairs by their happy family and friends. The atmosphere of the reception was welcoming and boisterous with everyone getting involved in celebrating the union of Michaela and Tristan. During the reception we put together a slide show of the images we had taken from the morning, including both the bride and groom’s preparations and the highlights from the ceremony. It is always lovely seeing the faces of the guests as they are able to share in, once again, such a special time in the lives of Michaela and Tristan.

Congratulations once again Michaela and Tristan! It was really lovely to see everyone getting so involved in celebrating with you and we certainly hope that the rest of your married life is filled with as much love and excitement as this day was.
